(Figure 13, Tables 2, 5, 6 and 7) were observed. Some of this effect. was attributed to earlier development, as the differences tended to decrease with time.
Tb is observation was especially true with heights. However, flowering and fruiting differences were observed to persist, but to a lesser degree over time. This factor suggests some additional effects. The source was not investigated, but might possibly come from physiological actions of certain hormonal-like constituents of ROOTS.

Earlier qualities offer profitable opportunities for growers of vegetables. Home gardeners also benefit from earlier flowering and fruiting, as well as from increased flowering. These qualities will be investigated in a second year of field—trials -

ROOTS IU offers a number of advantages for the production and growing of bedding plants. These advantages should be of interest to bedding plant growers, vegetable and cut—flower growers and gardeners.
