RESULTS

When cuttings were rooted, they were carefully removed and washed. Visual examination showed improved rooting over controls. Improved rooting of cuttings treated with ROOTS was very evident. Measurements of total root lengths showed that the roots of treated cuttings ranged from three— to six—fold longer than controls.
Results are sufficiently encouraging to warrant additional cycles of experimentation and the development of quantifiable techniques. Biostimulation by seaweed/humic acid extracts appears to have practical application for propagation of succulents. Such results should interest horticulturists and possibly suggest additional research activities.
