Straighter, more accurate putting with a golf ball that rolls true to the hole!

Ken Liebeskind
NGC Sport -- How to putt straighter and/or more accurately
October 22, 2008
----------------------------------------------

Okay, you hit two great shots to put the ball on the green, now you have to put it in the hole. The best golfers line up the putt and sink it, but it isn't so easy. Many golfers are unable to hit straight putts that travel directly to the hole.
How can you hits putts that are straighter and more accurate? The physics of the putting stroke aren't really complicated but they must be understood to hit straight putts. The idea is to make a consistently solid stroke each time. You can use whatever stance you like, so long as it is balanced. The key is to hit the putt squarely, with the putter traveling perpendicular to the putter's face. Slicing across the ball from inside or out will not result in a straight putt. Visualize where you want the ball to go and bring the putter straight back towards you. Then swing the putter straight through the face of the putter square to the line of the putt. Be balanced. If your arms are too far from your body or your weight is back over your heels, you won't stroke the putt consistently. Use a proper grip with fingers pointed directly up the line of the forearms, eyes over the inside of the ball, back straight and shoulders square.
Finally, you should choose a putter that suits your stroke. Golfers with square strokes prefer face-balanced putters while arc strikers prefer putters with toe hang. Changing your putter will result in a boost of confidence that will help you sink putts you previously wouldn't have made.
Now that you can putt straighter and more accurately, you can use a ball that putts with the steady roll of a cue ball. It's the Condor "S" ball from NGC Sports (www.ngcsports.com), a company that specializes in scientifcally designed golf equipment, including a full range of clubs. The science with the Condor "S" ball is a new dimple design and a slightly smaller ball that reduces air drag, so the ball gains altitude quickly and sails to the green. Once there it putts truer than other balls, into the hole for birdies. You can't buy the Condor "S" ball in retail stores. Please visit www.ngcsports.com for special savings on the ball you'll putt truer with!
